What we collect when you book, why we keep it, and how to get it removed.
This notice covers the booking system on this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect when you book
- Your name, phone number and email address — so we can hold the appointment, confirm it and reach you if something changes.
- The appointment itself — which dentist, the date and time, and the reason for the visit you chose.
- Anything you type in the notes box. Please do not put detailed medical history there; tell your dentist in person instead.
- Your IP address and the time of the request — kept briefly to stop automated spam bookings.
What we do with it
We use it to run your appointment: to email you a confirmation with confirm and cancel links, to send a reminder the day before, and to let the front desk and your dentist see who is coming in. That is the whole of it.
Reminders and practice news
The booking form has an optional checkbox for check-up reminders and occasional practice news or offers. It is off unless you tick it. If you do tick it, every message we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect emails about appointments you have actually booked.
Who sees it
Your record is visible to the practice manager and to the dentist you booked with. Dentists here cannot see each other's patients. We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with advertisers or data brokers.
How long we keep it
We keep appointment and patient records for as long as we are required to as a dental practice, and for check-up recalls after that if you have opted in. Anti-spam records are deleted after 24 hours.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The booking pages use a session cookie only when a member of staff signs in to the admin area. The map on our contact page is served by OpenStreetMap and loads only when you scroll to it.
Your choices
You can cancel any future appointment yourself using the link in your email. To see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, email dentalcare@bestdealwebdesign.com or call 000-000-0000 and ask — we will not make it difficult.
