The storefront of Woodside Dental Care on 61st Street in Woodside, Queens

A neighborhood practice, run like one

On 61st Street since 1998 — four dentists, one waiting room, and most of our patients within walking distance.

Our story

Started with one dentist and a very small waiting room

Woodside Dental Care opened on 61st Street in 1998 as a single-chair general practice. It grew the way neighborhood practices tend to: a patient asked whether we could see their child, then whether we could do their mother's implant, and eventually it was easier to bring the specialists in than to keep sending people across Queens.

Today there are four dentists and four rooms. What has not changed is the scale of the thing — you will see the same faces at the front desk, and your dentist will remember what you talked about last time.

  • Most patients live or work within a fifteen-minute walk
  • Six languages between the clinical team
  • Same-day emergency slots held every weekday
  • Saturday morning appointments for people who cannot take a weekday off

How we work

Four things we are stubborn about

Prices up front

A written estimate before treatment starts, and an insurance check before you arrive. Nobody should find out the cost at the desk on the way out.

Enough time

Thirty-minute slots as standard, and longer where the work needs it. Rushing is how mistakes and frightened children happen.

The conservative option

The least irreversible treatment that will actually work. We will happily tell you that you do not need something.

Booking that is honest

The online calendar shows real availability from the dentists' own schedules. If it says a slot is free, it is free.

The neighborhood

Woodside, and the blocks around it

We are between 37th and Roosevelt Avenues, a couple of minutes from Northern Boulevard on the M and R and a short walk from 61st Street–Woodside on the 7 and the LIRR. Patients come from Woodside, Sunnyside, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Maspeth and Astoria.

It is one of the most linguistically varied neighborhoods in the country, which is not an abstract fact when someone is trying to describe a pain. Between the four dentists we speak English, Spanish, Tagalog, Hindi, Gujarati and Italian.
